I believe the burgeoning number of “make and take” classes that offer pre-fab materials kits and complete cookbook-like instructions – classes based on a project, as opposed to technique (like your wonderful Dreamscape series) – exacerbate this problem because they do not differentiate between the production of a product and the expression of an original idea.
