Dreamscape No. 403 is entreating us to slow down and rest.
If it could speak, it would say, “Peace, Be Still.”
Soft Edges – extend to the viewer, a gentle invitation, while hard edges just reach out and grab. The subtle, hard edges in this Dreamscape are minimized by similar color and value. The most pronounced, the circle, contributes to the overall theme. Plus, the left foreground swirl, is an intimate, beckoning repeat.
Horizontals – translate to rest, stillness in tranquil waters.
Reclining Diagonals – are winding down. They have poured out their energy and are now settling in for a little R&R.
Neutralized Colors – I love bright colors, but sometimes grow weary of all their jumping up and down, clamoring for attention. The mixing of the brights I used for Dreamscape No. 403 was a soothing ritual for turning down their volume.
Sigh, I feel more calm already…
Peace In all Your Painting Today…
Let’s Keep Dreaming 🙂
