Getting To Know Spectrum Noir

Here’s my first color mixing sheet with Spectrum Noir

(Loving LV3 on far right)

Imagine if I had all of their colors…they only make 168!

I would be color mixing forever 🙂

See all 168 here

Corresponding Markers too!

  1. Colorfast? Or do some fade or change color over time like Adirondack’s Plum color alcohol ink, or watercolor’s Opera, or oil’s old alizarin crimson? The very best colors seem to be the most unstable!

  2. Hi Gail, thanks for your interest. I’m asking the same question when comparing the different brands. Have been told by some, “reasonably lightfast.” In the meantime, I’m experimenting with UV Protectors for my work in all mediums, not just alcohol inks.
