Sunday Afternoon In The Playhouse

When I was a little girl, I yearned for a playhouse.

Thanks to my husband, I have one now, my studio.

And here I am in all its messy glory feeling very thankful!

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Oh… and you SHOULD BE!!! Thankful for your “playhouse!” What a wonderful BLESSING. I can’t even begin to list what all I am thankful for, but — here goes: I am thankful for LIFE ITSELF, in all of it’s GLORY (and all of its bad spots too!), I feel SO BLESSED to be alive… Every morning as soon as I’m awake, I begin to THANK GOD for everything: the new day and all of my family and friends and the fact that I’m WELL and STRONG (at 80 years old!) no problems (health) no medications, no pains, no nuthin’ — so girl, just don’t get me “started” because I’m a true “thanksgiving freak!” as in “health freak” or whatever other kind of freak u can imagine. My thing is GIVING THANKS; I truly ENJOY IT more than anything else. I could go on… but looks like I’ve already gone on maybe too much! Halleluyah! 🙂 By the way, I love your playhouse!

  2. I’m thankful that I’m not the only painter whos loving their space! ps, I never want to clean mine up either….at least not until I’ve finished my project I’m working on….

  3. I know what you mean, Barb. The cleaning up after a project is part of the mindfulness prep for the next. Bright blessings today in your space 🙂

  4. I, too, am blessed and thankful to have a Studio in my home! And it IS messy by some people’s standards……but to me it is full of all the things I love to do. And I am also thankful that I will be retiring in August to enjoy it all–full time!

  5. Hi MJ! Thanks for commenting. We have a refrigerator magnet that reads, I’m a creative, you can’t expect me to be neat too.

But, I do find every month or so, I am compelled to do a clean sweep – a clearing out that feels expansive. Guess it’s the ebb and flow of the creative cycle.
