Thank you. Sure, you can use other colors. The more “pure” pigments you begin with, the more created colors you can achieve before they begin to neutralize to earth tones. Plus, there is a chance of “mud.” I’ll be posting more on my blog soon.

This technique is so simple & so beautiful, thank you for sharing! I have a question, and it might seem silly, but you can do other colors right? I would love to to practice on some scratch watercolor paper to see how other colors blend with each other.

Although I love playing around with acrylics, I’m anything but artistic. This was my first attempt at watercolors and I’m feeling really good about my attempt at this tutorial. So simple to follow and I’m so proud of what I created:)
I did it on a canvas and just used my hands to sprinkle water throughout the canvas because I didn’t have a mister. Now I want to make a few more of these :) yours is a bit more vibrant so it’ll be fun to keep experimenting! Thank you so much!

Yes, a small spray bottle is fine. You will notice some have a fine mist and some don’t. Fine mist does not work.
